Nautica Long Beach features a 3km swim and a 5k swim around a 1km loop in the protected waters of Alamitos Bay. Swimmers can choose to swim in both races, and will have around an hour in between races.

Recovery tents with multiple soothing amenities will be available from 10:00am to 1:30pm.

Nautica San Diego features a swim through the calm waters of La Jolla Cove. The swim is about 7km. Swimmers will enter the water at La Jolla Cove, and from there they will swim to the Scripps Pier and back. Once they get back to La Jolla Cove, they will swim the final loop to and from La Jolla Shores. Upon arrival back to La Jolla Cove, lunch and recovery will await them.
